STEM Engagement at Berwick Bank

Berwick Bank Wind Farm represents the first of many potential large renewable Projects to come to fruition in Scotland and SSE Renewables are committed to working alongside local education facilities to inspire the next generation of talent that could help make these Projects a success.

We have currently established two strategic partnerships with secondary schools based in East Lothian and following on from some initial STEM sessions in 2022, we were delighted to attend a recent Careers Fair held at Knox Academy.

The Fair saw a wide range of pupils from all year groups attend and our team were able to provide insight into the huge variety of roles that are required to make a Project like Berwick Bank Wind Farm a success, from Communications to Design, Planning and of course, Engineering.

We will be continuing our STEM engagement in East Lothian with specific sessions with pupils across February and we would like to thank Knox Academy for inviting us along and all the pupils for attending.
