Ecosystem Management Proposals

Alongside our planning applications we will be suggesting a suite of ecosystem based management proposals to allow us to propose a more environmentally sensitive proposal for Berwick Bank Wind Farm. LSE Scoping Report

A Habitats Regulation Appraisal (HRA) Screening Report has been produced to inform the HRA process for the Berwick Bank wind farm development. It provides information about the project’s potential to have a likely significant effect (LSE) on designated nature conservation sites to help inform the decision-making process.

The scope of this document covers all relevant European sites and relevant qualifying interest features seaward of the mean high water spring (MHWS).

Second Scoping Report

Following the decision of SSE Renewables to propose Berwick Bank Wind Farm as one single opportunity, the Project team submitted a second Scoping Report to Marine Scotland in October 2021.

You can view the report below.

The Scoping Report has been prepared in the following formats:

  • Full Scoping Report, containing hyperlinks, available to download in PDF format

  • Scoping Report, containing hyperlinks, split into a main report and technical appendices, available to download in PDF format

  • An online, web based platform, containing identical information to the full PDF

A range of studies and surveys have informed this report and will also inform the onshore and offshore Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Reports, which are currently in development.

The above report versions are also available to download or view online by clicking the button below. The contents of the PDF report and the online report are the same.

Prior to Berwick Bank Wind Farm being combined into one single project, an onshore Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Scoping Report has been submitted to East Lothian Council. This scoping report can be downloaded here
